About to start in a few minutes...

Apparently pay per view is very flaky. Legally you can watch it on-line, streaming from Mexico here:

I told you Floyd is in a different class of boxer. Next time, just listen to me and learn lol

Too close to call. But Mayweather's defense saved him, again. I was expecting to see more foot work by Pacquiao. Payday over $100 million each if you add all up. Makes no difference who won. But I think for close to $100 per pay-per-view, fans were expecting a lot more than that.

In the aftermath we'll see if the sport of boxing gained any ground.

PS. Now Mayweather will retire and still act like a dick. Pacquiao gives it another shot with whoever comes up next.

The fight wasn't close at all. The numbers are more like $180,000,000 for Mayweather. He also has one more fight on his contract with Showtime and confirmed he will fight in September.

For all the money you would have thought that the under cards would have been better. One guy with 2 weeks notice he was fighting. Another guy who is a world champion after just four fights.

Pacquiao certainly the aggressor. Floyd clinched his way out of trouble.

Lost both of my bets - Pacquiao winner by decision and a flyer on Floyd win in second round.

The four judges scores show it was too close: 115 vs. 115, 118 vs. 110, 116 vs. 112, 116 vs.112. The difference is actually based on Mayweather running away instead of fighting and hugging Manny more times than Jessi has hugged Merlow (even if that is a measure for success? LOL).

I didn't know Mayweather has another fight on his contract. Problem is, after last night's PPV fiasco... how many people will order the next fight on pay per view? Not as many. Unless they spin it as something other than the fight of the century. Clearly last night's fight wasn't even the fight of the week.

    Maybe a re-match in Manila ?

Stupidities re-cap: Justin Bieber and the Burger King mascot in Mayweather's entourage. Jimmy Kimmel in Pacman's entourage. Around 1,000 private jets jammed Vegas airport. Mayweather claiming he is greater than Ali, and Tyson calling him delusional (oh, look whose talking - lol). The Mexican national anthem, to start with, not because of a celebration of this or that but because of a Mexican beer brand dropping mega pesos on this fight... so if Molson sponsors the next ping pong tournament in the south pole... they'll play our national anthem for the penguins?

    Casual fans

Where did you get that 115-115 scorecard? lol There's never been 4 judges to score a fight, only 3 lol. What you call "running" and "hugging" are better known as controlling the distance and clinching. If you paid attention, Floyd purposely pull himself back in the corner to lure Manny who kept running into the check hook. You should also ask yourself why Manny couldn't land any significant punch (other than that straight left in the 4th round which Floyd shook off in a matter of seconds). As a matter of fact, Floyd threw more and landed way more as it is usually the case. A runner is someone who generates no attack. Like it or not it was a boxing clinic and no, not even the fight of the week because Mayweather always make it look too easy.

No rematch but should there be it would be where Mayweather decides and that's Vegas.

Did you say PPV fiasco? As it stands the 2,48 PPV buys record set by Mayweather-De La Hoya has already been blown. They expect the final number to top the 3M buys lol

    Stick to golf please

The undercard served only to hype Lomachenko and Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is a hypejob who will need to cherrypick his next opponents carefully. Lomachenko is the real deal and ready for better opposition. That said, you are right, a main event of such magnitude deserved a much better undercard.

OK, fair enough, I was expecting to see a fight, not technicalities. I'll stick to MMA, but golf and boxing combined can be the next big thing

Some pictures of talentless microcelebrities attenting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/spo...ing-fight.html ... Charlotte Mckinney damn!

The three judges, last one is a typo.

The fiasco is that next time there is a big promotion for a big event on PPV... people with think twice before spending $100 a shot. Reason for that is that they were expecting to see a fight, not dancing and hugging. True, the boxing purists that knew what they were looking at were thrilled by the technical aspects of the fight. But 99% of viewers saw no blood, no "rocky", no drama... and got pissed they spent $100 on something that didn't meet their expectations due to lack of knowledge of the sport.

PS. Lambo factory in Italy went to full production capacity after the fight... hmmmm... somebody ordered 100 cars?

Saw the fight, knew what was going to happen, wish it took place 4-6 years ago though. The money these guys made is just nuts...
